Great Guided Tour

Visitors will go through the Johannes mineshaft, enter the smaller chamber, see the flooded shaft at the chamber dug for the Silver Vein, and will view the main attraction – the large chamber. A visit of the oldest part of the mine follows – a big chamber behind the „windy door“. There visitors will climb up the ladders, then they will walk through a labyrinth of mutualy joint chambers (again on the ladders). Here, visitors can try to crawl through a low corridor. When the underground tour has finished, visitors will return to the surface by climbing a wooden ladder in the shaft (approximately 40 metres). At the mouth of the mineshaft, visitors will examine a hand-operated windlass and then will return to the service building.
The tour lasts about 2,5 – 4 hours, depending on the number of vistors. The time for renting and returning the equipment is included. The tour itself lasts about 2 – 2,5 hours. Caution! The ascend from the servise building to the Johannes mineshaft takes 10-15 minutes!
